Revelation Chapter 2:  The Churches

To the angel of the church of Ephesus write... (Verse 1)


Ephesus (Verse 1)


He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands. (Verse 1)


I know your works (Verses 2-3)


Nevertheless I have this against you (Verse 4)


Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works (Verse 5)


Or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place. (Verse 5)


But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. (Verse 6)


He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. (Verse 7)


To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life... (Verse 7)


The church in Smyrna (Verse 8)


I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich) (Verse 9)


I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. (Vs 9)


Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. (Verse 10)


The devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested (Verse 10)


You will have tribulation ten days. (Verse 10)


Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. (Verse 10)


He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death. (Verse 11)


The church in Pergamos (Verse 12)


These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword (Verse 12)


I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan's throne is. (Verse 13)


I have a few things against you, . . . you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam (Vs 14)


You also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. (Verse 15)


Repent, or else . . . (Verse 16)


To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. (Verse 17)


I will give him a white stone, and a new name . . . (Verse 17)


The church in Thyatira (Verse 18)


I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience (Verse 19)


Nevertheless I have a few things against you . . . Jezebel (Verse 20)


I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. (Verse 21)


I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation unless they repent of their deeds. (Verse 22)


I will kill her children with death (Verse 23)


All the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. (Verse 23)


I will give to each one of you according to your works. (Verse 23)


But hold fast what you have till I come. (Verse 25)


And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations (Verse 26)


He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter's vessels (Verse 27)


And I will give him the morning star. (Verse 28)
